Steelers TE Heath Miller Still Faces Long Road to Recovery

TE – Heath Miller –

Steelers star tight end Heath Miller “looks great” according to his longtime quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger when he appeared on a local radio show three days ago.

Miller was essentially the MVP for the Steelers last season, as he was the only source of consistency for the team. That all came crashing down on Week 16 when Miller suffered a torn ACL.

Miller had his best season in 2012, hauling in eight touchdowns and putting up 816 receiving yards, both career highs.

Now the 30 year-old has a road to recovery that will either define or cut short his career.

While Big Ben provided some encouraging words for Steeler Nation, only time will tell whether or not Miller will be able to return to his original form.

As far as fantasy implications go, don’t count on drafting the tight end unless he makes it to training camp in July. If he fails to do so, the Steelers will likely go with another option to start the team’s 2013 campaign.
